Orr & Reno’s Utilities Team includes a former Chairman and former Commissioner of the New Hampshire Public Utilities Commission, both of whom have extensive experience in assisting clients in interpreting complex utility regulations and laws, and in advising and representing clients in regulatory and court proceedings involving utilities.

We routinely represent clients in various types of proceedings before the New Hampshire Public Utilities Commission, including those involving rate increases, special contracts, competitive generation and supply issues, transmission issues, merger and acquisition approvals, energy efficiency, rulemaking, franchise creation and expansion, financing approvals, contract disputes, and billing and fee disputes.  We also represent clients in connection with due diligence associated with utility mergers and acquisitions, power purchase agreements, interconnection agreements, contract negotiation and restructuring, and resolving billing disputes outside of the adjudicative process.

Our clients have included electric, natural gas, steam and water utilities, competitive suppliers of electricity, and utility customers.  Our in-depth experience in the area of public utility regulation enables us to represent various stakeholders in the utility industries effectively and efficiently.

Orr & Reno’s full-service team can help you navigate next steps.
