On April 9, 2020, Governor Sununu issued Emergency Order 28 which directs “State, local, and private sector partners to work together” to accomplish three separate goals.
First – to identify isolation sites for COVID-19 positive individuals, or those who have symptoms, among the homeless population.
Second – to help homeless shelters in local communities provide adequate social distancing among their residents.
Third – to provide “non-congregate temporary housing” for health care workers and first responders who, having faced a reasonable risk of exposure, cannot return to their homes.
