Attorney Carey Presents “Financial Crimes against the Elderly”
Oct 26, 2016On October 18, 2016, Bob Carey gave a presentation on Financial Crimes against the Elderly. The presentation was part of the Greater Concord Chamber of Commerce’s Legal Breakfast Series. The elderly are especially vulnerable to financial exploitation. Exploitation takes different forms. Sometimes, it is a caregiver pressures an elderly person to change their will. Other times, an unscrupulous investment advisor exploits an elderly person’s trust. Bob described strategies to protect the elderly against financial fraud and to recover assets in the unfortunate event of fraud.
