Smith, a member of Orr & Reno’s Energy and Environmental Practice Groups, presented a live webinar on January 8, 2015 to members of the Association of Corporate Counsel Small Law Department Committee to explain the process for environmental compliance inspections conducted by U.S.E.P.A. Smith represents industrial and commercial facilities in environmental enforcement actions and, based on her experience as former EPA enforcement attorney and New Hampshire Senior Assistant Attorney General, included an outline of practical and legal tips on what in-house counsel should do—and not do—before, during and after EPA shows up to inspect a facility.
