Paralegal

Val works with the family law practice group. Val is involved in cases from beginning to end, working with clients on the production of financial and other required disclosures, assisting with drafting pleadings, preparing for mediation and trial, and generally supporting the practice group in a wide range of issues relative to divorce, child support, alimony, property division and parenting.

Past Experience

Val started her legal career in 1987 as a legal secretary, after completing an advanced secretarial program at Burdett School in Boston, Massachusetts. She received the highest GPA award for her class and was on the Dean’s List for each level of the course. While raising her son and working full time, Val completed the Paralegal Certificate program at New Hampshire Technical Institute in 1993. In 2008, she returned to NHTI, where she was named to the President’s List. In May of 2012, Val earned an Associate for Applied Science degree in Paralegal Studies. During her career, she has handled cases involving many areas of the law, including family law, civil litigation, insurance defense, probate administration, estate planning, corporate business setup, bankruptcy and real estate.

Hobbies

Val enjoys spending her free time with her three grandsons, riding her motorcycle and traveling around New England touring scenic areas with her dogs.
