Orr & Reno is pleased to announce that Rachel S. Bier has joined the firm as an Associate in the Litigation department.

Rachel practices in civil litigation, with a focus on Commercial and Business Disputes, and Intellectual Property litigation. Before joining Orr & Reno, she was a litigator in the Boston office of an international law firm, where her practice focused on complex patent infringement litigation. She was a member of the trial team in several successful high-stakes patent cases litigated in various courts across the country. Her clients included companies in the semiconductor, medical diagnostics, and pharmaceutical industries.

During a six-month rotation as a Special Assistant District Attorney at the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office, Rachel prosecuted misdemeanors and felonies, gaining valuable courtroom experience.

Rachel earned her J.D., magna cum laude, from Boston University in 2018 and her B.S., summa cum laude, from Skidmore College in 2012. She has been cited in The Best Lawyers in America as “One to Watch” for Intellectual Property Law and Litigation – Intellectual Property.
