COVID-19 UPDATE: Governor Sununu’s Emergency Order 28 Addresses the Homeless and Temporary Housing for First Responders
Apr 10, 2020On April 9, 2020, Governor Sununu issued Emergency Order 28 which directs “State, local, and private sector partners to work together” to accomplish three separate goals.
First – to identify isolation sites for COVID-19 positive individuals, or those who have symptoms, among the homeless population.
Second – to help homeless shelters in local communities provide adequate social distancing among their residents.
Third – to provide “non-congregate temporary housing” for health care workers and first responders who, having faced a reasonable risk of exposure, cannot return to their homes.
