Attorney Connie Lane Elected to NH House of Representatives
Nov 08, 2018Orr & Reno Shareholder Connie Lane was elected to the New Hampshire House of Representatives on November 6, 2018. Lane, seeking elected office for the first time, will represent Merrimack – District 12. She takes over the seat held since 2012 by Paul Henle, who had announced he would not seek re-election, before passing away of a brain injury last month.
Lane, a Democrat in Concord’s Ward 2, has long been involved in community outreach, serving as the Chair of the Board of Directors for Red River Theatre, a board member for the NH Housing Finance Authority, and the founding director of CATCH Neighborhood Housing.
Lane’s decision to run for office is based on a platform to provide affordable health care, affordable housing, strong public education and a sound infrastructure.
“I ran because I want to ensure that New Hampshire reflects the values that our country was founded upon – equal justice and opportunity for all. Every person should have a shot at the American dream regardless of race, income, gender, faith, or sexual orientation,” Lane states.
Lane’s diverse legal expertise spans nearly 30 years with a practice focused in business, real estate and non-profit sectors.
