Attorney Jim Laboe will address the annual safety luncheon of the Associated General Contractors of New Hampshire
Jan 22, 2016Attorney Jim Laboe will address the annual safety luncheon of the Associated General Contractors of New Hampshire on Thursday, Feb. 4 at the AGC of NH Office in Bow. He will be speaking about enforcement activities of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
Laboe is one of the more respected OSHA attorneys in the Northeast and will be addressing employer’s rights and responsibilities during an OSHA inspection.
In most instances, OSHA arrives to inspect a facility unexpectedly or when a major disruptive event, such as a fatality, catastrophe, or serious employee injury, has recently occurred. The employer is often unprepared to handle such inspections so as to minimize liability, as well as reduce interference with its operations. The result may be significant OSHA citations, civil liability and even criminal penalties.
This presentation will provide guidelines to manage an OSHA inspection so as to minimize employer liability, while assisting OSHA in conducting a reasonable inspection.
AGC of NH was founded in 1949 and represents the highway and building divisions of the state’s commercial construction industry.
