‘Super Lawyers’ Recognizes 17 Orr & Reno Attorneys

Nine attorneys from Orr & Reno have been selected by their peers for inclusion in the 2023 edition of Super Lawyers [1]and an additional eight attorneys from the firm have been chosen as “Rising Stars”.

Long-time honorees earning the distinction of “Super Lawyer” include: Peter F. Burger[2], Robert S. Carey[3], Jonathan M. Eck[4],  Judith A. Fairclough[5], Margaret R. Kerouac[6], John A. Malmberg[7], Virginia Symmes Sheehan[8], Jeffrey C. Spear[9], and Lisa Snow Wade[10].

Recognized as a “Rising Star” are: Nicole A. Forbes[11], Meredith Farrell Goldstein[12], Petar Leonard[13], Allison L. McGregor, Bradford Melson[14], Lindsay E. Nadeau[15], Andrea Van Iten[16], and Elizabeth Vélez[17].

Super Lawyers is a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. Attorneys are selected in all 50 U.S. states and Washington, D.C. following a multiphase selection process, including peer nominations and evaluations combined with independent research. Just 5% of the total lawyers in each state are selected a “Super Lawyer” while only 2.5% are selected a “Rising Star”.

• Carey was selected in the practice area of business litigation. He has been listed since 2019.

• Kerouac was selected in the practice areas of family law. She has been listed since 2015.
• Malmberg was first selected as a top-rated healthcare attorney in both 2007 and 2008. He was honored again in 2013 and each year since.
• Sheehan was selected in the practice area of estate planning, and probate law. She was first recognized in 2008 and has been listed each year since 2011.
• Spear was selected in the practice area of business litigation. This marks his 10^th consecutive year of recognition.
• Wade was selected in the practice area of business litigation. She was first recognized in 2008 and has been listed each year since 2019.

In the “Rising Stars” category:

• Forbes was recognized in the practice area of family law. She has been listed since 2019.
• Goldstein was recognized in the practice area of personal injury law general (plaintiff), and civil litigation (plaintiff). She has been listed since 2021.
