Orr & Reno understands the importance of safeguarding personal interests and assets before marriage, and planning for the distribution of assets and income after marriage or in the event of death.  Our Divorce & Family law attorneys draft prenuptial agreements tailored to individual circumstances.  We also review and advise clients on prenuptial agreements drafted by prospective spouses.  Similarly, we draft postnuptial agreements covering issues such as alimony, child support, asset division and debt allocation in the event of divorce.  Postnuptial agreements are recognized in New Hampshire but must meet certain procedural and substantive criteria. Finally, our attorneys will enforce or defend a pre or postnuptial agreement in the event of a challenge to enforceability.
