Lindsay E. (Whitelaw) Nadeau

Lindsay is a member of the firm’s Governmental Relations Department and Administrative Law team.

As a member of the firm’s Governmental Relations Department, Lindsay has been helping clients seek creative legislative and regulatory solutions to their legal needs since 2016.   She frequently represents clients before the New Hampshire House and Senate, Governor and Executive Council, New Hampshire Insurance Department, New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services, State Department of Labor, Commission for Human Rights and other administrative agencies.  In addition to advocating for or against legislation on behalf of clients, she also assists clients bid on and obtain approval of public contracts.  Her work often involves advocating for clients in highly regulated industries seek regulatory approvals and defend against administrative enforcement actions.

Lindsay’s administrative law practice concentrates on counseling employers and employees about the myriad of legal issues that arise in employment relationships.  She routinely advises clients about the ever-changing landscape of federal and state employment laws and offers practical advice for compliance and risk management.  Lindsay serves clients in all aspects of their employment and human resources needs, including drafting policies and handbooks, conducting personnel investigations, negotiating employment and severance agreements, drafting non-compete and non-solicitation agreements, conducting employee trainings, and advocating for clients in disputes before the New Hampshire Human Rights Commission, U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and New Hampshire Department of Labor.

Past Experience

Lindsay is a graduate of the University of New Hampshire School of Law, where she participated in the Daniel Webster Scholar Honors Program.  While in law school, she completed legal residencies in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Hampshire and the New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office.  Prior to attending law school, Lindsay worked in the Office of Governor John H. Lynch for four years, where she gained in-depth knowledge about state government.

Hobbies

Originally from Concord, Lindsay enjoys spending time with family and friends, cooking, traveling, and reading a good book.
