Emily is an immigration attorney focused on representing companies, organizations, and individuals in a broad range of immigration matters. She assists clients in managing the visa needs of foreign workers, obtaining nonimmigrant and immigrant professional visas, applying for employment-based and family-based permanent residence, and achieving naturalization. She also represents noncitizens facing removal before the Immigration Court and in all levels of appeal. Emily represents large and small companies in affirmative and defensive I-9 audits. She also advises non-citizens and their counsel on the immigration consequences of criminal convictions.
Emily lectures to local and national audiences and has published articles on advanced topics in immigration law. She enjoys mentoring attorneys in complex immigration cases. She is fluent in Spanish.
Prior to joining Orr & Reno, Emily practiced with an immigration law group at the Manchester office of a New Hampshire firm. She previously practiced exclusively in immigration law for a decade in Colorado where she was named a top immigration lawyer by 5280 Magazine in Denver.
A native of New Hampshire’s Lakes Region, Emily enjoys swimming, kayaking, skating, skiing, and hiking, and is generally accompanied in these activities by her young daughters.
