Bradford W. Melson

Brad brings a business-minded approach to advising and counseling investors, entrepreneurs, and privately-held companies on a wide range of general corporate, commercial, and transactional matters, including entity formation, governance issues, mergers and acquisitions, private offerings of debt and equity, and business succession planning.  Having his MBA gives him a unique skill set as a lawyer working with business clients.

Prior to joining Orr & Reno, Brad trained in the Corporate Department of a large regional law firm based in Manchester, NH. In law school Brad served as Co-Editor-in-Chief of the Northeastern University Law Journal (2013 – 2014) and gained invaluable on-the-job experience through full-time legal internships (“co-ops”) with the New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office, Transportation and Construction Bureau (2011), as Judicial Intern to the Honorable Norman H. Stahl, Senior Circuit Judge, United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit (2012), and as a law clerk in the legal department of Massachusetts-based retailer BJ’s Wholesale Club, Inc. (2013).

Hobbies

Brad enjoys spending spare time with friends and family throughout the Lakes Region, boating, hiking, tinkering with old Jeeps, and, occasionally, working on a hopeless golf game.
