As part of the World Affairs Council of New Hampshire’s (WACNH) International Visitors Leadership Program, fourteen delegates from across Europe were welcomed by Orr & Reno attorneys and professionals for a reception at the firm’s office in Concord, NH on April 3.
The delegation representing 13 European countries was completing a three week tour of the U.S., having previously traveled to Washington, D.C., Albuquerque and Santa Fe, New Mexico and Des Moines and Iowa City, Iowa.
At Orr & Reno, the up and coming leaders from around the world shared political and economic concerns of their home countries while also detailing their learning experiences while in the U.S.
The goal of the International Visitors Program is to connect the state’s citizens and students with up and coming leaders from around the world, build international relationships, promote a positive image of the U.S. and an understanding of world affairs and attract tourism and business to the Granite State.
The young leadership group included members of Parliament from Germany, Montenegro and Ukraine, International Relations experts from Turkey, Italy and the Netherlands and other decision makers in government from Belgium, Cypress, Finland, Lithuania, Malta, Spain and the United Kingdom.
Founded in 1954, the WACNH is the state’s only non-profit, non-partisan organization devoted solely to fostering learning, discussion and citizen involvement in world affairs.
