Orr & Reno’s Maureen Smith participated in a panel discussion sponsored by the Environmental Law Society at the University of New Hampshire Law School on March 28.
Smith, alongside representatives of the State of New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services and Attorney General’s Office, interacted with nearly 30 students interested in pursuing careers in environmental law.
The educational evening included discussion of the options available to law students to establish a successful career path in environmental law, including which areas of law create a foundation for environmental practice and the types of internships and experience that would benefit students. Additionally, panelists offered details of their own environmental practices and insights on the future of environmental law.
As a member of Orr & Reno’s Environmental practice group, Smith represents business and individual clients in a broad range of environmental matters spanning air, water, wetlands, shoreland and waste issues.
