New Hampshire Governor  Chris Sununu appointed Orr & Reno attorney Jennifer Eber, Esq. to serve as a member of the Governor’s Commission on the Humane Treatment of Animals.

By executive order on August 17, 2017, the governor re-established the commission to prepare biennial reports for the governor that document the animal-cruelty convictions and cases and address proposed and suggested legislation.  The commission will also be addressing the possible funding sources for animal cruelty related costs and addressing possible legislation.  The commission maintains a website at https://www.nh.gov/humane[1] which can provide more information on its activities.

Jennifer has represented many people and non-profit organizations, both locally and nationally, in animal related litigation and other legal matters since joining Orr & Reno in 1991.  She has served on the boards of the Pope-Memorial SPCA of Concord – Merrimack County and the Animal Rescue League of New Hampshire, serving as chair of the Board of Directors from 2014 to 2016.
