Experience
Prior to joining Orr & Reno in the fall of 2008, Rachel clerked for United States District Judge John A. Woodcock, Jr. in Maine. During law school, Rachel completed a full time externship with First Circuit Judge Jeffrey R. Howard in Concord. She also interned in the natural resources and litigation divisions of the Maine Attorney General's office and was a summer associate at a New Hampshire law firm. At Vermont Law School, she was a member of the Vermont Law Review and was a research associate at the Institute for Energy and the Environment.
Rachel received a master's degree in environmental management at the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies, where she completed coursework in energy policy and economics. She also served as a research associate at the Yale Center for Environmental Law and Policy, and was a teaching fellow for a course on Environmental Law and Policy. Prior to law school, Rachel worked as an advocate for a non-profit in Washington, D.C., and was a high school teacher in Nashville, Tennessee.
