Experience

Michael is a trial attorney with over 20 years of experience in commercial, civil and criminal litigation. Prior to joining Orr & Reno, Mike represented varied clients, particularly utilities, in state and municipal tax, regulatory permit and other litigation. He often represents clients in complex, commercial disputes; trademark and copyright infringement cases; state and municipal tax abatements and appeals; zoning and planning board appeals; environmental contamination matters; and employment claims. His criminal defense caseload includes federal crimes, particularly white-collar crimes, state felonies and misdemeanors, and D.W.I. His experience includes:

  • Managed and actively handled a majority of the administrative, regulatory, and condemnation litigation in New Hampshire for an international natural gas pipeline.
  • Successfully challenged an award of a significant state contract.
  • Defended a latex glove manufacturer in a products liability and breach of warranty case, a substantial securities fraud criminal indictment, a copyright and trademark infringement action and a major financial institution in a class action.
  • Prosecuted a complex intellectual property claim pursued under the New Hampshire Uniform Trade Secrets Act.
