Experience

John assists health care providers to conduct their operations, develop arrangements with other parties by contract or joint venture, comply with and navigate regulatory requirements, create new organizations and resolve disputes. Prior to joining the firm, John clerked for U.S. District Judge Albert W. Coffrin in Vermont from 1978-1979 and served as a New Hampshire Assistant Attorney General from 1982-1985. John's experience includes:

  • Representing hospitals and physician practices in all aspects of their operations and business relationships
  • Assisting in the organization and continuing operations of a number of innovative joint ventures among different kinds of providers, including hospitals, physician group practices and community mental health centers
  • Appearing regularly in certificate of need proceedings and hearings before state and federal regulatory and licensing agencies
  • Representing individuals and businesses in a wide range of litigation matters from breach of contract and product liability actions to complex shareholder disputes
